Peripheral vision, speed reading & cognitive focus benchmark
A Schulte Table is a 5×5 grid of randomly arranged numbers from 1 to 25 developed by German psychiatrist Walter Schulte to evaluate and train visual search speed, working attention, and peripheral vision. It is widely used in speed-reading courses and cognitive agility training.
• Under 30 seconds: Exceptional peripheral vision and top 5% mental focus.
• 30–45 seconds: Above-average visual processing speed.
• 45–60 seconds: Typical adult baseline.
• Over 60 seconds: Great candidate for daily 3-minute training sessions.
